Vice President, IT Applications (FX e Trading) - Bank Industry (HK$65 K - $85 K) (Ref. No.: 25479)Our client, a Leading Consumer Bank, is looking for a high-caliber person to fill the position. Job Duties Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in FX e-Trading and manage relationships with IT and front office users. Ensure effective communication between users and IT team members across projects. Manage relationships with development and infrastructure teams. Develop high-level project plans, set objectives, identify resources, resolve constraints, and deliver quality application systems. Develop, coach, and mobilize the project team to achieve specific software development goals; participate in development work when necessary. Evaluate and identify potential challenges, developing contingency plans to minimize business risks. Maintain up-to-date project files and ensure design work is well documented. Manage and provide technical support to ensure smooth 24-hour operations. Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle and Design Methodology. Job Requirements Degree holder in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar experience. At least 10 years’ experience in FX or derivatives software development. At least 5 years’ experience in project management and people management. Relevant market experience, with FX and derivatives preferred. Solid market practice knowledge of FX e Trading Platforms or solutions. Strong regulatory and compliance experience combined with project management capabilities. Extensive experience and knowledge of FX e Trading solution technologies and architecture design. Hands-on front office production support experience, especially in FX or derivatives products. Solid hands-on experience with SQL and Java. Adept in using FIX protocol. Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and networking topologies (e.g., TCP, UDP). Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle and design methodology. Strong vendor management skills and experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
