Role OverviewThe Delta 1 and Volatility business is seeking a senior broker to join their desk. In their day-to-day role, the successful applicant will be primarily responsible for broking Delta 1 and Volatility contracts, servicing customers in these markets to generate revenue. The role will require the individual to develop and maintain client relationships, as well as identifying prospective new clients, to contribute to the ongoing success of the desk. In addition, the individual may also be required to cover other brokers as required.Role Responsibilities:Promote TP ICAPUnderstand Global Broking's overall business strategy and vision and how it aligns with your businessWork with senior management in developing the desk's business strategy by identifying new business opportunities relating to trends, future markets, products and clients and implement as agreedFocus on specific markets, maintaining constant contact with a range of relevant individuals and organisations to identify buyers and sellers, facilitate price discovery and create the necessary liquidity for deals to be doneOversee customer relationship management including maintaining relationships with strategically important and major clientsManage clients and lines on the desk in a proactive manner (i.e. account allocation, dealing with customer issues etc.)Lead and manage people development in alignment with business strategy including building a high performing team and a management capability in order to plan for successionUnderstand pertinent regulation and assess and implement compliance with the evolving regulatory landscape and internal/external governance in partnership with Infrastructure teamsSupport a risk and compliance aware culture and be proactive and encourage behaviours which comply with group policiesSupport Senior Management in building culture, setting the appropriate tone and instilling valuesTake responsibility for the implementation of policies, processes, systems and controls relating to the area of the business under your responsibility, as required by the Risk function and the policy ownerExercise judgement, integrity, care, skill and diligence to avoid conflicts of interest and escalate issues as appropriate, with the support of the desk head.Experience / Competences:EssentialUnderstanding of Delta 1 and Volatility products.Exceptional client focus / delivery skills.Fluent Japanese language skillsAbility to work effectively in a high-pressure environment, can keep emotions under control in difficult situations.Constructively handles disagreements to reach a resolution.Works ethically and shows respect for both professional and company values.Understands ideas and has a viewpoint on the markets and economy.Build relationships and networks with both internally and externally wherever possible.Instils Trust - gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.Team player - demonstrates ability to work effectively with others, communicating clearly and instilling trust with your colleagues.Handles situations and problems effectively using own initiative.Seeks opportunities for improvements.Demonstrates high levels of energy in seeking out and achieving new goals.Values Differences - recognizes the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.DesiredExperience of managing and leading teams.Job Level and Band: Professional, 5Not The Perfect Fit?Concerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
