Job Description

The Mass Transit Railway seeks a skilled Train Captain – Engineer's Train to operate engineer's trains in various railway settings, ensuring adherence to established rules and procedures. The selected candidate will be responsible for forming and safely maneuvering engineer's trains within worksites.

Responsibilities
  • Operate engineer's trains according to prescribed guidelines and procedures in the operating railway and new railway extension of Lantau projects construction area.
  • Conduct safe shunting movements of engineer's trains within worksites.
  • Maintain and rectify minor defects of engineer's trains as per manuals and procedures.
Requirements
  • Candidates must possess Grade E / Level 2 / 'Attained' or above in 5 subjects of HKCEE / HKDSE, including English Language.
  • A good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese is essential.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to handle incidents independently are required.
  • Driving license is not mandatory; relevant training will be provided upon employment.
