We are seeking an experienced Investment Operations Specialist to join our team at AIA International Limited. As an Investment Operations Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the team to work on various investment operations, trustee monitoring, reporting and analytical matters.
About the Job- Job Summary: To provide operational support for investment activities, including trade order management, valuation monitoring, custodian monitoring, regulatory/management reporting, and financial reporting for MPF and pension products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily investment operations for the MPF and pension platform, ensuring accurate and timely execution of trade orders, valuations, and reconciliations.
- Monitor regulatory obligations, including cash flow monitoring, CMR requirements, post-trade compliance monitoring by custodians/fund administrators, segregation of bank accounts, custody, and safekeeping of assets.
- Review and ensure accuracy and timeliness of regulatory reportings, including submissions to relevant authorities.
- Analytical review of fee and expenses, cash flow monitoring, fund performance, and other fund-related information to inform business decisions.
- Liaise with external auditors, perform oversight and monitoring on custodians, fund administrators, and fund managers for regular service reviews.
- Coordinate audit visits by external auditors and internal audit teams, addressing follow-up actions on issues identified during visits.
- Contribute innovative initiatives to streamline workflow processes and improve efficiency.
- Develop reports to provide insights to the business on catalysts for investment activities.
- Assign and monitor tasks to ensure completion within planned schedules.
- Ensure regular investment reporting, regulatory returns, and year-end financial statements are prepared accurately and submitted on time.
- Liaise with various external parties, including banks, service providers, investment managers, custodians, auditors, legal consultants, and others.
- Communicate with MPFA/SFC and respond to inquiries from these authorities.
- Support ad-hoc projects assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
- University graduate, preferably majoring in business or finance-related subjects or equivalent.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in investment reporting/fund operation (e.g., trade processing, settlements, and valuation).
- Familiarity with MPFA and other regulators' requirements on MPF funds.
- SFC RA 13 License Representative Qualifications.
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, responsible individual with a positive attitude, able to manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Senior Analyst role.
- Immediate availability or short notice is advantageous.
