Position Overview

The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Computer Technician II
The selected candidate will be engaged in a dynamic environment and will be responsible for the following key functions:
(a) providing expert IT support for a significant community initiative;
(b) serving as the liaison for external IT service providers;
(c) overseeing and conducting quality assessments of outsourced IT solutions (including applications, websites, backend systems, health device APIs, etc.);
(d) delivering assistance for IT infrastructure maintenance. Occasional work outside standard hours and at various locations may be required.

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
(i) a Bachelor's degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline;
(ii) a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in IT support, website management, server administration, project coordination, and/or programming and online communication, ideally within higher education institutions;
(iii) demonstrated experience in project management and team leadership;
(iv) familiarity with IT systems, mobile application development, and audio-visual production;
(v) a proactive, self-driven, independent work ethic, along with strong interpersonal skills; and
(vi) proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua).

The appointment will initially be on a contractual basis for a duration of 1 to 2 years, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and mutual agreement.
