Overview of BASF Management Consulting
BASF Management Consulting serves as the internal consultancy for the BASF Group, with offices in Ludwigshafen, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, and Florham Park (USA). Our team provides strategic advice to BASF's senior management on a global scale, engaging in various projects related to commercial strategy, organizational development, post-merger integration, carve-outs, and change management.
Role Objectives
As a member of the Management Consulting team, you will assist in the preparation, coordination, and execution of consulting projects across the Asia Pacific region. This role offers an opportunity to learn how to gather, analyze, structure, and visually present complex information aimed at facilitating organizational or commercial transformations.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of BASF's organizational structure, consulting methodologies, and operational processes.
- Assist project teams with desktop research utilizing internal resources, perform data analysis, consolidate findings, and create visual presentations for assigned consulting projects.
- Prepare, coordinate, and support the facilitation of workshops with client organizations.
Candidate Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Business Management, Consulting, or a related field.
- Availability for a full-time internship lasting at least 3 to 4 months.
- Proficient in both oral and written English; proficiency in an Asian language, particularly Chinese, is advantageous.
- Collaborative team player who contributes innovative ideas to client solutions.
- Capable of articulating complex topics in a clear and structured manner.
- Strong analytical skills with a willingness to learn and acquire new competencies.
- Previous experience in consulting, finance, marketing, chemicals, or related fields is considered a plus.
