Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team at the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head, Finance (Museums) in running the finance function of M+ Museum, reviewing and formulating financial strategies, policies, and operational procedures to ensure compliance with directives from the Boards and Committees of M+ Museum, statutory requirements, and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head, Finance (Museums) in leading the finance operations to ensure transactions are efficiently processed, and revenues and expenditures are accounted for in accordance with statutory requirements and accounting standards.

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis to the Board, Committees, executive team, and internal stakeholders on a timely and accurate basis with illuminating and succinct commentaries.

  • Assist the Head, Finance (Museums) in conducting periodic business reviews to ensure that business initiatives are aligned to set objectives while the business performance is within the approved budget parameters and control guidelines.

  • Prepare the financial and cashflow analysis for new capital expenditures and business initiatives to ensure they are within the parameters approved by the Boards and Committees, and supported by adequate funding.

  • Organise financial information needs across the organisation, lead automation initiatives, and digitisation transformation, drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and transactional systems and processes.

  • Perform other duties commensurate with the position of Manager, Finance (M+ Museum) and performing such services from time to time as WKCDA may reasonably direct.

Requirements

  • Recognised university degree with professional qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or relevant discipline.

  • Membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants or equivalent.

  • At least 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or auditing, preferably gained in a large organisation.

  • Experience in operational finance will be an advantage.

  • Good knowledge in ERP systems, financial modelling, business controls, and management reporting.

  • Project leadership experience in system implementation, process automation, and digital transformation will be a plus.

  • Detail-minded while having the ability to think creatively and out of the box.

  • Good team spirit and a good financial advisor.

  • Ability to engage and communicate with multiple stakeholders.

  • Excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills.

  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
