Job Title: Assistant Procurement Manager – IT Services

Cathay Pacific Airways Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Procurement Manager to join our IT Services team. As an Assistant Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in optimizing costs, leading the evaluation and selection of suppliers, ensuring excellent supplier performance, and guaranteeing the highest level of ethics and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement category strategies in conjunction with stakeholder departments and the Procurement Manager.
  • Track, analyze, and forecast spend for key suppliers in the category to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Conduct market research to understand the supplier market, existing solution offerings, and future market trends.
  • Develop strong supplier relationships and ensure suppliers deliver as per their contractual obligations.
  • Effectively manage stakeholder relationships to promote category strategies and ensure alignment between the business and procurement objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing projects, from market research to contracting.
  • Provide advice to cross-functional teams to implement category strategies and ensure existing strategies are consistently improved and implemented.
Requirements:
  • 3 years' relevant experience.
  • Procurement and category management experience is preferred.
  • Ability to adapt and learn rapidly to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and basic contract law.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to inspire and build trust and respect among the APD community.
  • Excellent people skills, including negotiation and influence.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and implement strategies.
