Job Title: Procurement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at the Vocational Training Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Manage procurement processes, including tendering, contracting, and contract management.
  • Supervise and develop a team of procurement professionals to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure our procurement processes are efficient and effective.
Requirements:
  • A recognized degree in a relevant field, such as procurement, supply chain management, or business administration.
  • At least 7 years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.

  • Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in procurement but without the required academic qualifications may also apply.
  • Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a written test.
  • The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours.
