About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Audit Director to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Audit team, you will be responsible for leading internal audit projects, providing management with objective and independent assessments of our internal control systems, and developing and implementing audit plans to ensure the effectiveness of our controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead internal audit projects for Group Office functions and Group entities, including AIA Reinsurance and Technology Shared Services.
  • Coordinate with Investment Audit CoE in Singapore to implement investment audits at Group-level.
  • Advise Group first-line and second-line stakeholders on risk, controls, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Identify key risks at the local level for each entity and develop the annual audit plan.
  • Coordinate and monitor audits performed by regulators, external auditors, and other entities' auditors.
  • Direct a team to deliver departmental goals and develop the team through mentoring, training, and providing timely feedback.
  • Drive the implementation of new processes and systems to provide an independent view to management of the quality and effectiveness of projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum fifteen years of internal/external audit experience, with twelve years in the insurance, financial, or related industry.
  • Experience in defining the audit plan of a similar internal audit function based on a sound understanding of business objectives, market circumstances, and internal control best practices.
  • Understanding of risks inherent in key insurance processes and Group-wide project rollouts.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and people development skills.
  • Knowledge of audit tools and software, such as TeamMate, ACL, and MS Office.
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT.
  • Good command of both oral and written English.
