About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Investigations Consultant to join our team at AIA International Limited. As a key member of our Centralized Investigation Unit, you will play a critical role in detecting, preventing, and investigating suspected cases of fraud and misconduct.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute investigations within AIA Hong Kong, evaluating the adequacy of controls according to established schedules and quality standards.
  • Prepare investigation reports for management and assist in discussions of issues and recommendations with appropriate levels of management.
  • Ensure the quality of investigations, including ensuring that working papers, draft reports, and other deliverables meet internal standards and investigations are completed within budgeted time.
  • Review and evaluate information or evidence compiled for civil or criminal cases and/or regulatory investigations, supporting any related legal proceedings.
  • Identify key fraud risks with AIA Group, considering relevant strategies and business environments.
  • Initiate, develop, and deliver preventive fraud education activities for AIA internal auditors and operational staff, including senior management, controllers, underwriters, and administration and claims staff.
  • Prepare reports for governance committees.
  • Advocate and influence the highest standards of ethics, discipline, and professionalism within the organization.
Requirements:
  • University graduates in Accountancy, Law, Bachelor of Science, or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or Information Systems, and other relevant academic backgrounds.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in audit, paralegal, or investigative work.
  • Prior experience in Commercial Crimes Bureau, Independent Commission Against Corruption, Big 4 forensic investigations unit, law firms, financial institutions, or similar capacity preferred.
  • Strong understanding of insurance and legislative/regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Knowledge with data analytics and other software, such as MS Office, intermediate knowledge on IT is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English, Chinese, good communication skills, verbally and in writing, with the ability to explain complex transactions in a clear and concise manner.
  • The maturity and authority necessary to deal with senior management and sensitive issues.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet milestones within time, cost, and quality constraints.
  • Self-confident, self-motivated, and good interpersonal skills.
  • You are required to obtain the relevant license(s) if your job involves regulated activities.
