YOUR IMPACT

The Alternative Capital Markets (ACM) division within the Asset & Wealth Management sector is seeking a Vice President/Executive Director to enhance our operations in Hong Kong.

The ACM team is tasked with the structuring, sourcing, and capital acquisition from high net worth individuals and family offices for unique investment opportunities provided by the firm. These opportunities encompass private equity, real estate, and hedge funds, including both direct investment strategies and fund-of-funds. ACM acts as the primary liaison between Private Wealth Management (PWM) clients and various internal groups at Goldman Sachs, such as direct investing initiatives and the External Investing Group (XIG) across private equity, private credit, private real estate, hedge funds, and related co-investments.

Alternative Capital Markets (ACM)

ACM is a global team comprising over 60 alternative investment professionals across multiple offices, responsible for managing over $120 billion in assets under supervision. We serve a wide range of clients, including institutions, foundations, family offices, and high net worth individuals. ACM is the architect of the Wealth Alternatives platform, which includes private equity, growth/venture capital, private credit, private real estate, hedge funds, co-investments, and impact investing. Our offerings include AM Private, XIG, and third-party external investment strategies, as well as exclusive access to private companies through both internal and external referrals. ACM's comprehensive capital markets operations cover the entire lifecycle of alternative investments, from sourcing to client solutions, along with a new discretionary offering that enables programmatic platform access, an in-house liquidity platform for clients, and dedicated platform management and strategy.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Negotiate and liaise with General Partners and legal teams regarding placement agreements.
  • Organize fundraising efforts and roadshows for co-investments, single deals, private equity funds, and hedge funds. Collaborate with the alternative investment team to provide discretionary and advisory services to PWM clients in the region.
  • Strong team player with attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Deliver ongoing client service and prepare portfolio analyses and client review materials.
  • In-depth understanding of financial markets and investment instruments.
  • Motivated individual with a solid work ethic.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
