About the Role

The Fraud Investigator position is a critical component of the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) at AIG. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into suspicious insurance claims and activities, identifying potential economic losses, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to mitigate fraud risk.

As a Fraud Investigator, you will work closely with the SIU Fraud Manager to develop investigation plans, assign relevant tasks, and report findings. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing facts, reviewing interviews and statements, and obtaining and preserving physical and documentary evidence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate suspicious insurance claims and activities, managing all aspects of the investigation process.
  • Analyze facts, review interviews and statements, and obtain and preserve physical and documentary evidence.
  • Coordinate investigative techniques and resources, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness in all cases.
  • Produce reports based on evidential findings, providing adjusters with necessary information to progress claims.
  • Handle caseloads across relevant jurisdictions, ensuring all tasks are completed properly.
  • Testify and present evidence at administrative and criminal court proceedings as required.
  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with insureds, claimants, witnesses, lawyers, corporate employees, police, and relevant fraud bodies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication skills (Cantonese and English) and Mandarin an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance or fraud investigations, with experience in multiple lines of business a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of insurance fraud trends and key fraud indicators.
  • Ability to contribute and collaborate effectively within a team environment and with internal/external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Awareness of and adherence to local laws regarding techniques used for information gathering.
  • PC skills and experience with various investigation technologies and systems.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and change adaptability.
  • Ability to multi-task and organized at weighing and managing priorities.
