Salary Information
The estimated annual salary for this role is $250,000-$350,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Investigative Consultant who will provide management with effective detection, prevention, and investigations of suspected cases of fraud and/or misconduct. The successful candidate will add value to management by providing appropriate business-oriented recommendations. Key responsibilities include:
  • Planning and executing investigations within AIA Hong Kong, evaluating the adequacy of controls according to established schedules and quality standards.
  • Preparing investigation reports to management and assisting in discussions of issues and recommendations with appropriate levels of management.
  • Ensuring the quality of investigations, including ensuring that working papers, draft reports, and other deliverables meet internal standards, and investigations are completed within budgeted time.
  • Reviewing and evaluating information or evidence compiled for civil or criminal cases and/or regulatory investigations and supporting related legal proceedings.
  • Identifying key fraud risks with AIA Group, considering relevant strategies and business environments.
  • Initiating, developing, and delivering preventive fraud education activities for AIA internal auditors and operational staff, including senior management, controllers, underwriters, and administration and claims staff.
  • Preparing reports to governance committees.
  • Advocating and influencing the highest standards of ethics, discipline, and professionalism within the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a University graduate degree in Accountancy, Law, Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or Information Systems, or other relevant academic background. A minimum of 5 years of experience in audit, paralegal, or investigative work is required. Prior experience in Commercial Crimes Bureau, Independent Commission Against Corruption, Big 4 forensic investigations unit, law firms, financial institutions, or similar capacity is preferred. Strong understanding of insurance and legislative/regulatory requirements is also advantageous. Proficiency in data analytics and software such as MS Office, intermediate knowledge of IT, and fluency in English and Chinese are necessary. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to explain complex transactions clearly and concisely. Self-confidence, self-motivation, and good interpersonal skills are essential.
