We are seeking a highly skilled Business Coordinator to join our team at AXA Investment Managers. As a key member of our Market and Liquidity Solutions team, you will play a critical role in providing coordination and development of our activities, with a focus on operational and controlling aspects.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with key business units across the company and outside of the firm to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Support trading desks during financial markets opening hours to ensure efficient trading activities.
- Assist in the setup of new trading activities, including new funds, brokers, instruments, electronic trading platforms, and order management or execution management systems.
- Work closely with Technology to enhance product development, projects, and matters affecting trading activity and first-level control.
- Establish and maintain governance and documentation on workflows, processes, and procedures used within MLS, and share with other AXA IM departments or third parties.
- Help identify and implement best practices within current trading workflows and controls, as well as planned initiatives, taking into account changes in Regulation/Markets that may impact business conduct.
- Investigate and resolve workflow/control issues identified by traders, brokers, Operations, Compliance, or Legal.
- Provide MIS reporting, including weekly, monthly, and yearly volumes executed by MLS on all asset classes, and ad-hoc reporting queries requested by various departments and/or clients.
- Collaborate with Legal to provide guidance on market contracts/legal agreements, identify gaps, define priorities with traders, and clarify information to brokers.
- Report to line management in a timely fashion and according to the local incident policy/procedure, issues arising from business activities that may impact the company, clients, employees, or third parties.
- Take appropriate actions to mitigate/help mitigate risks arising from business activities placed under the department's responsibility.
- Be a source of proposal and actively involved in operational efficiency improvement.
We are looking for an experienced Business Coordinator with a strong background in advanced middle-office roles or operational/technical support of a trading desk. You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be IT literate, and have a good knowledge of MS Office Excel and Visual Basic macros. Knowledge of SQL or database query language and reporting tools like Tableau Software would be a plus. Basic Python programming skills would also be beneficial.
