Job Title: VP - Operational Risk - Banking

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced VP of Operational Risk to join our team at KOS International. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team of Quality Assurance managers, ensuring the successful application of risk management frameworks across various business areas and support functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team of Quality Assurance managers to ensure the effective implementation of risk management frameworks.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate operational risks.
  • Conduct risk assessments to gauge the effectiveness of current controls and make recommendations for adjustments.
  • Oversee the implementation of remediation plans to address key risks.
  • Investigate major operational risk incidents and provide expert advice on mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a robust framework for managing reputation risks.
  • Take charge of the second line of defense for IT risk management.
  • Work closely with various departments to address operational risk challenges.

Requirements:

  • 8 years of experience in operational risk management or audit functions within the financial sector.
  • Prior experience in managing operational risk in investment banking or technology risk management is a strong advantage.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin included).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Self-driven, with a proactive approach to managing risk and a high level of accountability.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, with certifications in audit or risk management being a plus.
