Operational Risk Manager

ZA Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager/Manager, Technology and Operational Risk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive operational risk management framework, including Third-Party Risk Management for the bank.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Operational Risk Management Framework: Design and implement a robust operational risk management framework that aligns with the bank's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
- Assess and Improve Controls: Conduct regular assessments of existing controls and provide recommendations for improvement to ensure they are effective in mitigating operational risks.
- Identify and Evaluate Emerging Risks: Identify and evaluate new and emerging operational risks within the bank, and implement appropriate mitigation actions to minimize their impact.
- Design and Conduct Risk Assessments: Design and conduct risk assessments, scenario analysis, and scenario testing exercises to quantify potential impacts on the bank's operational environment.
- Review and Improve Risk Management Practices: Perform regular reviews of operational risk management practices and training to ensure continuous improvement and effectiveness.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the financial sector or consultancy, focusing on operational risk management. Having an Associated Operational Risk Management Professional (AORP) or Certified Operational Risk Management Professional (CORP) certification is an advantage.
- Skills and Knowledge: Practical experience and knowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologies, familiarity with control frameworks such as SA-2, TM-G-2, IC-1, OR-1, OR-2 published by the HKMA, and strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, industry best practices, and emerging trends in risk management.
- Personal Qualities: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
