Operational Risk Management Specialist

DBS Bank is seeking a highly skilled Operational Risk Management Specialist to join our Risk Management Group (RMG). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of operational risk across the Bank.
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain operational resilience policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure the Bank's operational risk management framework is robust and effective.
- Initiate, manage, and execute risk governance, internal controls, and processes to enhance operational efficiency and control awareness.
- Maintain oversight and monitoring of the operational risk management system and the quality of generated operational loss data.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative monitoring and reporting of the Bank's exposure to operational risk and resilience, including trend analysis of risk profiles against risk appetite statements.
- Review and challenge the adequacy of controls performed by the 1st line of defense to manage operational resilience.
- Design and set standards for operational resilience reports, dashboards, and metrics for management reporting.
- Undertake scenario analysis and assessments to identify potential operational resilience threats to the Bank.
- Provide advisory support to Business Units and Support Units on operational risk-related issues and drive process reviews and deep dives.
- Provide operational risk review and signoff on local New Product Approvals and non-IT outsourcing activities.
- Collaborate with relevant Risk Subject Matter Experts on operational risk and resilience-related matters.
- Promote a positive risk culture and risk awareness across the Bank.
- Degree holder in Finance or a business-related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of working experience in a financial institution with at least 3 years in operational risk management or enterprise risk management with operational resilience experience.
- Sound knowledge of HK regulatory requirements related to Operational Risk and Operational Resilience.
- Experience in at least one banking business segment with related in-depth process/product knowledge.
- Strong persuasive power in putting ideas across and ability to communicate with people of different levels.
