We are seeking an experienced Trade Finance Operations Officer to join our growing operations team at ALL-STAR AGENCY. As a Trade Finance Operations Officer, you will play a key role in handling all types of import trade transactions, including various forms of letters of credit (L/C) and amendments.
Key Responsibilities- Import Trade Transaction Management: Handle all types of import trade transactions, including various forms of letters of credit (L/C) and amendments; initiate and settle import bills, loans, and acceptances; issue and redeem shipping guarantees; and manage non-trade bonds, guarantees, and standby L/Cs.
- Reporting and Analytics: Generate and compile monthly outstanding trade reports for customers, along with banking returns and other management information system (MIS) reports as requested by the supervisor.
- Trade System Project Collaboration: Collaborate on business requirements for trade system projects, conduct necessary testing, and implement enhancements or modifications based on user needs.
- Team Support: Offer support to the Export Trade Processing Team or Customer Service Team as required.
- Clerical Duties: Carry out general clerical duties, including data entry, filing, mailing, and preparing various forms of correspondence, such as SWIFT messages.
- Education and Experience: Holds a secondary school diploma and has more than 1 year of experience in banking, ideally in import and export trade operations. Candidates with a degree or diploma and less experience will also be considered.
- Knowledge and Skills: Possesses knowledge and practical experience with ICC regulations, including UCP 600, URC 522, ISBP, ISP 98, and URDG 758. Understands transaction screening processes related to trade compliance, anti-money laundering, and anti-terrorism, adhering to international and governmental regulatory requirements.
- Teamwork and Communication: A cooperative team member who builds and maintains positive relationships with coworkers. Skilled in using PC applications such as Word and Excel.
