Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project execution for energy storage system construction and commissioning, ensuring thorough understanding of scope, schedule, and stakeholders.
- Identify gaps in scope and responsibility, collaborating with stakeholders to address them and ensure successful project implementation.
- Apply engineering principles and consult subject matter experts to identify issues and drive solutions on projects.
- Specify equipment for projects, including transformers, switchgear, protection solutions, and other necessary components.
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent communication and project progress.
- Review project design documents, including single-line drawings, communication diagrams, layouts, and equipment test reports.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve internal processes and products.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience; PE certification or equivalent is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in leading project design, preferably in large power stations or utility-scale power projects, with a minimum of 2 years of field service and/or commissioning experience in power generation/conversion, power electronics, and controls.
- Preferably 3+ years of experience in solar energy systems, battery energy storage systems, and/or hybrids product knowledge and business process experience.
- Familiarity with battery energy storage systems design, power generation systems, and inverter products is required.
- Knowledge of power electronics and controls, as well as experience with PLC, MarkVI, MarkVIe, controls systems, HMI, SCADA, and AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN/Solidworks.
- Excel basics, including charts, graphs, fonts, borders, shading, formulas, tables, and industrial standards, such as UL 9540 (A), UL 1642, UL 1973, UL 1741, NEC, NFPA, and NEMA.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods, as well as basic electronics and circuit analysis.
- Demonstrated accomplishments in customer-focused problem-solving, self-directed work, and intellectual curiosity.
- Proficient in English language, both verbal and written, and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 30%.
