Job Description

The Mass Transit Railway is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of railway structures and installations within construction sites.

About the Job

  • Conduct regular inspections at construction sites to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers to review construction proposals and method statements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage site matters and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Monitor construction activities and review monitoring results to assess the responses of railway structures/installations and arrange rectification as necessary.
  • Assist with general administrative responsibilities, such as budget management, preparation of meeting agendas and minutes, and quality record management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years' relevant experience in civil/construction engineering or a related field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position.
  • Possession of a Higher Diploma/Higher Certificate in Civil/Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of railway operation and infrastructure maintenance is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Possession of a valid Hong Kong driving license (class 1 and 2) is preferred.
