Leading Enterprise Architect for Digital Transformation

Job Description

The Senior IT Architect / IT Architect (Application) plays a pivotal role in shaping the Bank's technological landscape, providing strategic guidance on Application, API, and Microservice architecture. As a key member of our IT Architect Office, you will govern, design, and build enterprise-level architecture to drive innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Enterprise Application Architecture aligned with the Bank's technology roadmaps.
  • Define end-to-end IT strategy, standards, and processes for API-led and Microservices architecture applications on cloud-based and container platforms.
  • Establish and maintain architecture principles, standards, and best practices related to enterprise architectures, ensuring consistent application.
  • Facilitate legacy applications transformation to new API platform and Microservice architecture.
  • Standardize CI/CD setup for DevSecOps, API management tools, and automated deployment with API monitoring and service management mechanisms.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage risks associated with Application and Cloud architecture.
  • Research and identify new technologies or products valuable to IT strategy.
  • Provide advisories for technology innovations addressing business challenges.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
  • At least 10 years of post-qualification IT experience, with minimum 5 years in Application Architect roles, preferably in banking or financial services industries.
  • Strong experience in managing enterprise IT application architecture and providing technical solution advisories for various IT projects and applications.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT application architectures, particularly IaaS, PaaS, SaaS enterprise cloud computing, and containerized architectures.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes container platform, Cloud platform, GitLab, and CI/CD pipeline is advantageous.
  • Experience in digital transformation, transforming from Monolithic to Microservice application, Domain Driven Design (DDD) is highly desirable.
  • Good understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF.
  • Good knowledge of emerging technologies, market best practices, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
  • Proven strategic thinker to provide big-picture visions for future technology development.
  • Self-motivated, open-minded, good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a strong "can-do" attitude.
  • Holder of related professional certificates is an added advantage.
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for IT Architect role.
