About the Role
The Economist is seeking a highly skilled Media Planning and Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will be responsible for creating, delivering, and optimizing commercial campaigns for partnership or media-only clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an expert in all Economist Impact commercial products to effectively guide the sales team in conceiving media plans customized to each client.
- Complete RFP responses by submitting the required information to clients or agencies in a timely manner.
- Ensure campaigns are correctly inputted and reserved within relevant delivery systems to prevent possible clashes and/or loss of revenue.
- Coordinate the booking and launch of social media amplification campaigns with the social planning and operations team.
- Monitor all assigned campaigns for delivery and optimization, with a focus on preventing revenue loss or slippage due to under-delivery.
- Provide sales and/or partnership activation with campaign delivery results and benchmarks for end-of-campaign reporting/feedback.
Requirements
- Relevant years of work experience within commercial digital media.
- A firm understanding of media and the advertising landscape.
- Experience in building media plans and working knowledge of media concepts, terminology, and media math.
- Familiarity with KPIs, industry benchmarks, and how to achieve those success metrics.
- Experience working with multiple ad serving technologies to deliver, optimize, and reconcile digital campaigns.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive requests.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with and understand specific market nuances within international markets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
