Technology Leader for Post-Trade Systems

,Job Description,As a System Development Manager in the Post-Trade Application Team, you will design, implement, and provide application support for HKEX's post-trade systems, including clearing and settlement, nominee and depository, collateral, and risk management systems, as well as our data warehouse platform for post-trade business.,Key Responsibilities,
- Analyze business requirements, estimate resources, design systems, develop applications, test, roll out, and document critical applications running under IBM mainframe platforms.
- Design and develop systems with mainframe integration and modern technologies or platforms.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews on system design and project deliverables.
- Collaborate with IT teams, business users, and vendors on testing and support activities during project development.
- Assist supervisors in managing project risks and implementing mitigation measures accordingly.
- Adhere to organization policies and standards for compliance requirements.
- Coach and supervise developers.
- Provide production support and resolve production incidents.
- Undertake assignments and projects assigned by supervisors.
- Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 10 years of system development and support experience.
- Solid development experience in z/OS, DB2, COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve Plus, JCL, CA-7, and MQ.
- Knowledge and experience in SWIFT platform support or Linux platform support is an advantage.
- Proficiency in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
- Project management skills and qualifications (e.g., PMP, CSM) are an advantage.
- Experience in financial services industry or regulatory bodies is an added value.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and people management skills.
- Self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work independently and under pressure.
