Job Title: System Development Manager - Post-Trade Systems

  We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Development Manager to join our Post-Trade Application Team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting critical applications running under IBM mainframe platform.

  Job Description:

  The Post-Trade Application Team is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting post-trade systems, including clearing and settlement, nominee and depository, collateral and risk management systems as well as our data warehouse platform for post-trade business.

  As a System Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing business requirement analysis, resource estimation, system design, application development, testing, system rollout, and documentation.
  • Designing and developing systems with mainframe and integrating with other modern technologies or platforms.
  • Conducting quality assurance review on system design and project deliverables.
  • Collaborating with other IT teams, business users, and vendors on testing and support activities during project development.
  • Assisting supervisor in managing project risks and implementing mitigation measures accordingly.
  • Adhering to organization policies and standards for fulfillment of compliance requirements.
  • Couching and supervising developers.
  • Providing production support and resolving production incidents.
  • Undertaking assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor.

  Requirements:

  To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years' system development and support experience.
  • Solid development experience in z/OS, DB2, COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve Plus, JCL, CA-7, and MQ.
  • Knowledge and experience in SWIFT platform support or Linux platform support is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
  • Project management skills and qualifications (e.g., PMP, CSM) is an advantage.
  • Experience in financial services industry or regulatory bodies is an added value.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and people management skills.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work independently and under pressure.
