Senior Director of Risk Management

Prudential plc is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director to lead our Internal Audit function. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of our audit strategy, ensuring the effectiveness of our risk management and control processes, and providing expert advice to our senior management and audit committees.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive audit strategy that aligns with our business objectives and risk appetite.
- Lead a team of experienced auditors to conduct audits and provide assurance on the effectiveness of our risk management and control processes.
- Provide expert advice to our senior management and audit committees on risk management and control issues.
- Identify and assess key risks and issues facing our organization, and develop recommendations to mitigate these risks.
- Collaborate with our business stakeholders to ensure that our audit plans are aligned with their priorities and objectives.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with our external auditors and other stakeholders.
- Ensure that our audit function is compliant with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- At least 10 years' experience in an internal audit, external audit, or second-line role in the life insurance industry or other financial services.
- Extensive management experience, including staff management.
- Recognized audit or accountancy qualification.
- Additional qualifications such as CIA, CISA, CAMS beneficial.
- Data analytics experience advantageous.
- Good understanding of local regulations (Greater China and emerging markets).
- Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in successfully managing teams and coaching and developing people.
- Ability to evaluate, synthesize, organize, and interpret data and information.
- Track record of producing value-adding, commercially realistic recommendations in risk, consultancy, or internal audit environment.
- High attention to detail and rigorous logical thinking ability.
