About the Role:
The Bank of China is seeking an experienced IT Procurement Manager to lead the IT procurement management process, covering IT hardware, software, and services. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in procurement and contract negotiation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead IT Procurement Management: Oversee the entire IT procurement process, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and best practices.
- Contract Negotiation: Develop and execute contract negotiation strategies to protect the bank's interests and secure favorable terms.
- Procurement Process Improvement: Streamline and enhance procurement processes, policies, and systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage vendor performance, ensuring they meet the bank's requirements and standards.
- Procurement Committee Support: Provide advice and guidance to the Procurement Committee on procurement-related matters.
- IT Purchases: Conduct due diligence on all IT purchases, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Contract Administration: Maintain effective contract administration, providing contractual advice to internal users.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Support other business activities and perform ad hoc tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, IT, Global Sourcing, Supply Chain disciplines is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years' solid experience in buying/merchandising/purchasing/procurement fields.
- Skills: Strong background in procurement and contract negotiation, excellent communication and negotiation skills, proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Language: Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English.
