Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with the Business: Collaborate with our business stakeholders to define, document, implement, and support retail operations processes and applications that align with our retail and IT strategies.
  2. End-to-End Responsibility: Deliver new capabilities and enhancements for Retail Operations Efficiency domain, working closely with the business and IT teams to propose relevant solutions to optimize store efficiency.
  3. Big Picture Thinking: Break down silos between tools and integrate seamlessly all platforms, applying Agile principles to every project to strike a balance between quick wins and long-term investments.
  4. Project Management: Manage demand, budgets, resources, and schedules while aligning business priorities with IT development resources, ensuring project success and business acceptance.

  6. Requirements Gathering: Collect and organize operational requirements, translating business needs into relevant and scalable technology solutions.
  7. Solution Strategy and Road Mapping: Support the domain head in establishing and defining the domain vision, developing business cases, and formulating plans.
  8. Solution Selection and Implementation: Define and scope necessary projects and initiatives, lead the solution selection process, and manage the execution of all build phases of domain projects.
  9. Maintenance and Support: Serve as the last line of defense for maintenance and support performed by external vendors, ensuring service levels and performance.
  10. Business Advisory: Act as a partner/advisor to the business, recommending relevant solutions to meet current and future needs, ensuring technology solutions requested by the business are fully explored and well challenged for business value.
  11. Budgetary and Forecasting: Manage and monitor project and support operations budget, responsible for budgetary forecast of existing and future solution delivery for the Retail Operations Efficiency domain.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Certifications: Preferred - PMP or Prince 2 certified, Agile Scrum Master.
  3. Experience: At least 8+ years of hands-on experience in retail systems design and delivery, with successful implementation references.
  4. Culture and Context: Experience in an international context and culture, working as a consultant for a recognized firm is a plus.
  5. Skills: Good understanding of retail processes and store operations principles, solid experience in retail systems design and implementation, experience in translating business requirements into IT solutions.
  6. Capabilities: Demonstrated capabilities to think strategically, tactically, and operationally, experienced in managing end-to-end project life cycles with local, regional, and global stakeholders.
  7. Mobile POS and Retail Mobile Applications: Solid experience in Mobile POS and Retail mobile applications, deep understanding of the way they are operated, and the challenges faced by frontline teams.
  8. Best Practices: Good understanding of best practices in terms of workflow and tools, ability to propose the right solutions to the business.
  9. Drive and Initiative: High sense of drive, initiative, and self-organization, strong innovation mindset and capacity to drive new ideas.
  10. Team Player: Great team player and open collaboration spirit, good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to challenge the status quo with a constructive approach.
