We are building out our leading Financial Services Strategy & Operations Practice and are looking for a seasoned Manager with experience in this space.

As a franchise, KPMG works with major banks, insurers, and wealth & asset managers on strategic challenges faced by the industry. We bring a multidisciplinary team with expertise across strategy, operations, regulatory, digital & technology. It is an exciting time to join us as our practice is expanding due to our unique propositions and strength of client relationships.

The Strategy & Operations practice is at the forefront of orchestrating C-suite conversations. We combine structured analysis with rigorous external market perspective to engage and challenge our clients. Internally within KPMG, S&O is the practice that connects the breadth of practical, implementable assets / solutions developed by KPMG and brings them to our clients for their benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead engagement teams to achieve successful outcomes, including overseeing issue-based problem solving processes, managing team data/fact-based analysis, driving storyboarding, conducting financial modeling and business case creation, and developing recommendations on business models & target operating models.
  • Support Partner groups in project delivery through accurate and high-quality case execution.
  • Play a critical role in managing and developing the capabilities of junior consulting staff.
  • Support business development activities, including thought leadership and proposal development.
  • Own and develop client relationships, presenting to a wide range of audiences and working day-to-day with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Develop rapport and working relationships with clients and maintain them outside of engagements.
Experience & Background
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in consulting, Big 4, internal consulting, or research roles, with a focus on financial services strategy & operations consulting.
  • Degree from a leading institution.
  • Strong slide structuring and writing capabilities, evidence of project management/workstream leadership, research skills, analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity, structured thinking, and creativity.
  • Fluency in English is a must; Mandarin is a strong plus and Cantonese is a bonus.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
