Job Overview

FIS is seeking a seasoned Practice Manager to lead our consulting services team. As a Practice Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a business plan, managing key relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build a consulting team and strategy to effectively execute the business plan.
  • Develop consulting offerings to address market opportunities.
  • Manage key FIS channel relationships, including sales, relationship management, product management, and business unit management.
  • Ensure the Practice provides industry thought leadership.
  • Manage the profit and loss of the consulting practice, including forecasting and managing to revenue and expense targets.
  • Communicate business metrics to senior management.
  • Ensure generated revenue meets or exceeds plan for FIS Consulting Services Business.
  • Ensure consulting engagements provide excellent client satisfaction and client loyalty.
  • Manage consulting personnel, including engagement staffing, staff performance/evaluations, and career planning.
  • Provide resources with the right expertise to meet business needs and manage external relationships.
  • Ensure effective utilization of resources on billable projects, asset development, sales support, and thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with other Consulting Practice Managers to optimize goals for the entire division based on priorities and demand generated.
  • Attract and retain talent to meet business needs for the practice.
  • Provide direct sales support throughout the entire sales cycle, working closely with sales and account management to create and close opportunities.
  • Maintain quality client relationships to gain referrals for new clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Minimum 7 years in management, ideally in financial services consulting.
  • Ability to build relationships with C-level management, peers, and others.
  • Broad knowledge of regulatory requirements, financial institution operations, and risk management.
  • Project management, productivity, planning, and workload management skills.
  • Negotiation skills regarding complex issues.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and keep emotions under control during difficult situations.
  • Adaptable and dependable in fast-paced, changing business environments.
