Job Description:
The IPO Vetting Department of the Listing Division plays a crucial role in processing applications for new equity listings, including transactions by listed companies deemed to be new listings. This team is responsible for pre-IPO enquiries relating to new equity listings. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with knowledge of investigative techniques and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of listing applications and monitor progress
- Draft comment letters and Department reports to the Listing Committee
- Provide support for ad hoc projects as assigned by supervisor
- Assist in handling pre-IPO enquiries and IPO related policies matters
- Provide accounting, legal or other professional support to the work of the Listing Division
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyers/accountants with a minimum of 7 years working experience or university graduates of other relevant disciplines with at least 7 years working experience in law, accounting, corporate finance, investment banking or a related field
- Good experience that demonstrates knowledge of the Listing Rules and knowledge of the securities industry and its practices including securities laws and accounting practices
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with knowledge of investigative techniques and procedures
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Putonghua fluency is an advantage
