We're seeking a talented Insurance Solutions Director to join our team in the Hong Kong office. As a key member of our team, you will partner with our regional consulting and sales leaders to grow our business in Asia, working with an entrepreneurial team and building on our strong global brand recognition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, support, and sell Mercer's market-leading suite of investment tools, serving clients who subscribe to these data and software services and the consultants who rely on the intellectual capital to provide strategic investment advice.
  • Manage large-scale projects, coach team members, and solve complex problems as a recognized subject matter expert and senior individual contributor.
  • Drive growth of a key strategic segment for Mercer and Marsh McLennan more broadly.

Requirements:

  • Solid commercial acumen, with prior success in growing assets under management via the insurance industry.
  • Extensive understanding of the asset management industry, trends, as well as products, solutions, and services for the insurance segment.
  • A deep understanding of the Asian markets and ideally international insurance markets and possible background from within the insurance industry itself.
  • Familiarity with regional regulatory requirements and Solvency II standards.
  • A strong understanding of the specific investment requirements and reporting requirements of insurance clients.
  • An insurance-specific background and/or years of insurance-specific working experience in providing insurance clients with asset management solutions would be ideal.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, a team player who naturally maintains solid working relationships with colleagues and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills and people leadership qualities, including the ability to work collaboratively as part of a leadership team.
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or other business-related areas. CFA/MBA/Master's degree and/or actuarial qualifications preferred.
