About the Role:
Mercer Investments (HK) Limited is seeking an experienced Insurance Solutions Director to join our team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving growth and developing investment strategies for our insurance clients in Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with regional consulting and sales leaders to grow our business in Asia, working with an entrepreneurial team and building on our strong global brand recognition.
- Develop and support customized insurance solutions utilizing the full breadth of Mercer's capabilities, including large-scale projects, coaching team members, and solving complex problems.
- Drive growth of a key strategic segment for Mercer and Marsh McLennan more broadly.
Requirements:
- Solid commercial acumen, with prior success in growing assets under management via the insurance industry.
- Extensive understanding of the asset management industry, trends, as well as products, solutions, and services for the insurance segment.
- Deep understanding of the Asian markets and ideally international insurance markets and possible background from within the insurance industry itself.
- Familiarity with regional regulatory requirements and Solvency II standards.
- Strong understanding of the specific investment requirements and reporting requirements of insurance clients.
- Insurance-specific background and/or years of insurance-specific working experience in providing insurance clients with asset management solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills and people leadership qualities, including the ability to work collaboratively as part of a leadership team.
- Strong English skills. Cantonese/Mandarin or another Asian language preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or other business-related areas. CFA/MBA/Master's degree and/or actuarial qualifications preferred.
