About the Role

GLG is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to support the growth of our private equity business in Greater China. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing existing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategic partnerships with senior investment professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Manage a portfolio of existing clients to drive commercial results through research solutions, including phone consultations, private meetings, advisory work, surveys, and other in-depth solutions.
  • Business Development: Identify, prospect, and develop potential new clients to expand our private equity business in Greater China.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Establish trusted partnerships with senior investment professionals within the private equity industry to drive business growth and expand our client base.
  • Commercial Process Management: Lead and coordinate commercial processes, including contract negotiations, bidding, and procurement.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with the private equity team to support strategic initiatives and deliver best-in-class service to clients.
  • Event Management: Support the hosting of GLG roundtables, conferences, and teleconferences to enhance our brand and build relationships in the financial services industry.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in business development, account management, or other client-facing functions, ideally in the financial services or professional services industries.
  • Good understanding of the private equity industry and its players.
  • Demonstrated track record of growing institutional client bases and winning new businesses.
  • Experience in building thought partnerships and offering consultative solutions to private equity clients.
  • Experience in building relationships with senior executives, particularly in the financial services industry.
  • Outstanding communication skills with both external and internal parties, capable of liaising effectively with global counterparts.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
