About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Global Placement Manager - Automotive Sector. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex placements and developing strategic placement solutions that meet client needs, as well as building relationships with key stakeholders within the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance broking principles and a proven track record of managing complex placements. They will be responsible for working with direct carriers in Asian countries & Reinsurers across Asia, US & UK markets to drive placement strategies and achieve growth goals.

This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office, with flexibility to work remotely on other days. The team player will be responsible for handling/delivering to various Asian countries (North & South Asia). Regional experience preferred.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Uses risk expertise and knowledge of industry and carriers to develop placement solutions that meet client needs.
  2. Develops and implements the strategic direction for market approach and tenders.
  3. Team player and would be to handle/ deliver to Asia countries (North & South Asia). Regional experience preferred.
  4. Working with direct carriers in Asian countries & Reinsurers across Asia, US & UK markets.
  5. Drives placement strategies to achieve growth goals and provides exceptional client service.
  6. Manage market negotiations and placements.
  7. Advise clients and client executives on best technical practices and on changing insurance market conditions/major developments affecting various types of products/coverage.
  8. Build relationships with key internal stakeholders in local offices, client executives as well as the reinsurance placement team.
  9. Account management of global affinity projects, such as OEM's motor vehicle insurance program, dealer's extended warranty program, etc.
  10. Build a strong understanding of our solutions portfolio, a deep understanding of the Marsh Affinity customer value proposition, and our key differentiators.
  11. Working with the client executives, claims team, and third-party administrator team on the progression of client claims.
  12. Oversees placement support activities and ensures internal procedural compliance requirements are always met.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
  1. Minimum 10 years relevant experience in insurance broking and placement, preferably in automotive/device/sponsor sectors.
  2. Understanding/Experience on the Products distribution.
  3. Proven technical broking skill to manage large and/or complex placements. Deep underwriter relationships and an established positive reputation in the insurance market.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Process-oriented and able to prioritize projects and deliverables.
  6. Clear understanding of a project life cycle and the key criteria for successful execution.
  7. Commercially credible with the ability to express value propositions and cost benefits.
  8. Proven record of driving growth, delivering strong financial results and providing excellent client service.
