Overview
The Regional Operations & Merchandising Manager at Piaget is tasked with overseeing merchandising, international distribution, comprehensive stock management, and the preparation of reports within the North East Asia Region. This role encompasses various product categories including Jewellery, Watches, High Watchmaking, High Jewellery, Accessories, and PLV. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Retail IT Systems (SAP) and demonstrate proficiency in MS Office applications.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain and Merchandising Strategy Management:
Supervise supply chain operations for the Watches & Jewellery sectors, ensuring efficient logistics processes and product flow. Develop and analyze merchandising, allocation, and distribution strategies to align with market demands and enhance brand visibility at retail locations. Communicate merchandising standards to retail outlets and operational teams. Provide clear insights regarding performance metrics and supply-related risks. Ensure adherence to target assortments and launching quantities for new products. Distribute inventory and optimize resource allocation across the regional network. Act as a liaison between local markets and headquarters throughout the entire process.Business Analytics and Process Enhancement:
Conduct gap analyses to identify opportunities and formulate merchandising strategies. Maintain close relationships with boutiques to gauge client needs and expectations, enhancing processes including network deposit management. Develop reporting dashboards for the region to closely monitor stock levels. Collaborate with headquarters to initiate and implement various supply chain projects (including Smartchain Anaplan, One Retail).Customer Service Oversight:
Notify Marketing, Merchandising, and Customer Service teams regarding product quality concerns. Coordinate and track stock repairs and maintenance processes, including quotations and system updates.Reporting and Meeting Coordination:
Prepare monthly sales reports and weekly best sellers reports. Support business reviews and strategic meetings. Facilitate HQ meetings as required.Administrative Responsibilities:
Integrate and generate orders from subsidiaries and export markets, while managing backorder follow-ups. Organize and coordinate goods receipt with logistics and manage stock returns to and from manufacturing. Oversee stock inquiries through the platform. Ensure system maintenance regarding product data integrity, pricing in country systems, and reflect changes in network distribution.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. At least 8 years of relevant experience in merchandising operations, ideally within the luxury sector. Exceptional communication skills with a strong command of both spoken and written English (Cantonese and Mandarin are advantageous). Ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence. Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and effective planning and organizational skills to adapt to changes. Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills. Mature, self-driven, and quick to learn. Ability to work independently to meet objectives and project deadlines. Proficient in IT, including Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel skills, along with SAP expertise.-
