Learning and Engagement Officer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Engagement Officer to join our team at West Kowloon. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of exhibition projects, learning and public engagement programs, and contributing to the planning and implementation of the Museum's public engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibition and Program Development: Assist the Museum's Learning and Engagement Team to support the development and implementation of exhibition projects, learning and public engagement programs.
- Program Coordination: Contribute to the development, operation, and logistics of a wide range of public programs, including workshops, screenings, in-gallery activities, and educational contents.
- Marketing and Promotion: Assist in the promotion and documentation of the program, including drafting and editing promotional materials, arranging photography and videography.
- Research and Partnerships: Conduct research on learning pedagogy and develop strong partnerships with artists, educators, parenting groups, local organizations, and internal stakeholders.
- Evaluation and Analysis: Assist the Learning and Engagement Team to study visitors, evaluate exhibitions, and education-related programs at the Museum.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative and operational support in public learning events when needed.
Requirements:
- Education: Possess a recognized university degree, preferably an MA in education, art education, museum studies, history, arts, design, or equivalent.
- Experience: Preferably have 2 years of relevant experience in learning, interpretation, or public engagement programs in art, cultural, or educational sectors.
- Skills: Possess strong skills in project administration and coordination, interest and curiosity in Chinese art and culture, artmaking, performing arts, or museum learning.
- Language: Be proficient in English and Chinese, with knowledge of Putonghua an advantage.
