Learning and Engagement Officer

The Hong Kong Palace Museum is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Engagement Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Learning and Engagement Team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing exhibition projects, learning and public engagement programs that showcase the museum's collections and promote cultural exchange.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the development and implementation of exhibition projects, learning and public engagement programs that align with the museum's strategic goals.
- Contribute to the creation of educational content, including audio guides, learning resources, and in-gallery activities that engage diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with the Curatorial Department, artists, educators, and other partners to develop and deliver public programs that promote cultural understanding and exchange.
- Assist in the promotion and documentation of programs, including drafting and editing promotional materials, arranging photography and videography.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of public engagement initiatives that foster community engagement and partnerships.
- Assist in evaluating exhibitions and education-related programs to ensure their effectiveness and impact.
- Provide administrative and operational support for public learning events as needed.
- A recognized university degree in education, art education, museum studies, history, arts, design, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in learning, interpretation, or public engagement programs in art, cultural, or educational sectors.
- Strong project administration and coordination skills, with the ability to work across diverse audiences and act as a bridge between the museum and the public.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in program logistics, event, and front-of-house operation.
- Ability to work outside of regular office hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays, as needed.
- Fluency in English and Chinese, with knowledge of Putonghua an advantage.
