Student Learning and Development Officer

About the Role
The Chinese University of Hong Kong is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Student Learning and Development Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our students and support their academic journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer academic content process, including operating and delivering face-to-face, online, or mixed-mode courses, co-curricular activities, and workshops.
- Work closely with Faculty members to plan and support seamless course delivery, assurance of learning process, and bridge communication with students.
- Assist in and support the programme committee to review and update curriculum plans.
- Plan, deliver, and support all co-curricular activities, including exchanges, ceremonial events, company/alumni talks, study trips, and other projects as assigned.
- Act as the first line of contact with MBA students and student committee members, provide support to students in their learning journey, and facilitate the cultivation of strong class bonding and student life engagement to enrich students' MBA journey.
- Plan and execute student events and co-curricular activities, and coordinate with internal and external parties as necessary.
- Collaborate with other team members in the MBA Programme Office and faculty members to strengthen students' journey at CUHK MBA.
- Perform other impromptu duties as may be required from time to time by the MBA Programme Office.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree.
- Fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website.
- At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in operation of programme management and student management in the tertiary education sector.
- The ability to listen and communicate effectively, and to maintain positive rapport with a diverse group of high-performing students, and to support them in their learning journey.
- Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills to interact and form positive relationships with students, faculty members, internal, and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English, and a good command of Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua).
- Project management skills to organise, plan, and deliver student events effectively.
- Familiarity with digital communication and social media will be advantageous.
What We Offer
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
