Your Opportunity at ARC'TERYX: As the Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in the execution and implementation of sourcing strategies. Collaborating with a skilled team of sourcing, quality, and raw materials experts, you will work towards achieving business goals while fostering partnerships across Arc'teryx Headquarters and the Hong Kong Sourcing Office. Your role involves engaging with a well-established network of professional long-term vendor partners, consistently seeking innovative solutions and processes to enhance speed, optimize costs, support margins, and maximize supply chain efficiencies.

Meet Your Future Team: The Hong Kong Liaison Office team is a dynamic group focused on enhancing market responsiveness with high-quality products while achieving cash flow and inventory objectives. This small yet versatile team excels in problem-solving and process optimization, promoting collaborative partnerships between Arc'teryx Headquarters, our vendors, and the Hong Kong Liaison Office team. Together, we aim to build and execute a sustainable global sourcing strategy that ensures exceptional product delivery at the right place, with the right quality and cost, and on schedule.

As the Procurement Manager for Arc'teryx Hong Kong Sourcing Office, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Sourcing Management in fostering vendor partnerships to achieve world-class supply chain performance that supports business growth.
  • Leading and mentoring sourcing specialists, enhancing the team's core competencies to meet cost, quality, and market speed requirements.
  • Supporting sourcing management in negotiating and addressing production capacity challenges.
  • Analyzing vendor performance metrics to identify potential risks and implementing immediate corrective actions.
  • Researching and evaluating new vendors to facilitate business and capacity expansion.
  • Building vendor relationships and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Facilitating the onboarding and training of new vendors while continuously enhancing capabilities across the vendor base.
  • Providing assistance to the Sustainability team on compliance and ESG management.
  • Conducting analysis of past and current cost breakdowns of styles, performing cost comparisons across the vendor base to identify areas for long-term margin improvement.
  • Coordinating and executing vendor setup in SAP and managing supply agreement signings.

Future initiatives you may engage in include:

  • Assisting sourcing management in transforming current delivery KPI reporting into a more robust real-time online dashboard, including refining delay reason codes.
  • Proposing well-defined processes for setting seasonal purchase conditions prior to business allocations.
  • Identifying and suggesting additional Footwear sourcing responsibilities for the team.
  • Increasing involvement in capacity negotiations with primary vendors.
  • Collaborating more closely with current and prospective vendors to propose continuous improvements for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Developing a talent pipeline and creating career development opportunities that inspire and challenge the team.

Are you the ideal candidate for the Procurement Manager position at Arc'teryx Hong Kong Sourcing Office?

  • A degree in Merchandising, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Over 8 years of experience in apparel sourcing or merchandising within a global organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain and logistics.
  • Proven track record with domestic and offshore vendors and manufacturers.
  • Extensive understanding of raw materials, technical construction, and sourcing; footwear experience is a plus.
  • Expertise in negotiation, problem-solving, and multitasking.
  • Assertive with a high level of self-initiative.
  • Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook; knowledge of ERP & PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Centric) is advantageous.
