To cope with our development, we are looking for individuals who share our values to take up the position of Senior Manager – Global Sourcing Project Management Lead to support one of our customers who is a European retailer with significant growth potential. They currently operate over 2,600 stores across 12 countries, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, and Czechia, etc. In this position, you will support the SVP – Merchandising to drive category sourcing and country diversification initiatives. Manage cross-functional projects in collaboration with category and country sourcing teams, quality, compliance, and sustainability teams. Identify new sourcing opportunities and solutions to support the rapid growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of global sourcing strategies and lead cross-functional sourcing projects.
  • Support the development of new countries, team structures, and frameworks that align with our overall way of working and business requirements.
  • Translate business and growth requirements into sourcing development and coordinate with cross-functional teams towards the achievement of country development goals.
  • Lead sourcing projects across multiple countries and categories in collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams in product category, country, quality, compliance, and sustainability, and business operations.
  • Lead different global sourcing projects with respect to project planning, milestone tracking, and status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with country teams to develop supplier training plans, ensuring smooth process implementation and conduct training to stakeholders.
  • Ensure standard tools and processes are being rolled out in a consistent manner across new countries.
  • Support effective change management for new country/process/team structural changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience, ideally in consulting firms, and/or sourcing/supply chain-related functions in consumer goods sourcing offices or brands.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience, certification in PMP or Prince2 is an advantage.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team. High level of motivation and eagerness to learn.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process-oriented thinking and end-to-end mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good presentation and 'story-telling' technique.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, especially in PowerPoint and Excel. Knowledge of Tableau is an advantage.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
