Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Firewall Management to lead our network and security engineering and operations teams. As a key member of our Group Office and business units, you will be responsible for driving key initiatives, ensuring alignment with Group information security standards, and contributing to the development of our technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the setup and management of network and firewall operations teams, including defining processes and SOPs.
  2. Drive emerging network and firewall solutions and services from project to BAU operations.
  3. Ensure smooth transition of network and firewall solutions and services from project sign-off to BAU.
  4. Research and identify areas of improvement for existing network and firewall solutions and services.
  5. Define and drive process improvements for existing solutions in collaboration with internal teams and vendors.
  6. Act as a subject matter expert for network service transition, continuity, and improvement.
  7. Manage resource planning for BAU operations and ensure efficient delivery.
  8. Interface with stakeholders and vendors to manage the transition of new initiatives and solutions.
  9. Define and review handover BAU requirements, including guidelines, baselines, and SOPs.
  10. Collaborate with functional teams to identify and address risk factors and deliver technical and functional requirements.
  11. Contribute to devising next-generation network automation and security strategies.
  12. Manage projects and technology upgrades, including evaluation and recommendations for network-related tools and solutions.
  13. Manage vendor relationships and monitor performance quality.
  14. Align requirements with Group Security standards and compliances, as well as overall IT Strategy needs.
  15. Provide technical domain guidance and expertise to stakeholders and business units.
  16. Adopt a cloud-first strategic mindset on deliverables.
  17. Provide regular network and firewall operations updates for management reporting.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 8 years of experience in network security management, preferably in financial services.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent discipline.
  3. Minimum 5 years of experience in implementing and supporting firewalls with orchestration/automation technology.
  4. Knowledge and experience in cloud and network automation.
  5. Lead a team of at least three network/firewall engineers in a medium to large enterprise environment.
  6. Certifications in CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or similar would be an added advantage.
Knowledge and Technical Skills
  1. Familiarity with firewall products, including Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and Cisco.
  2. Experience with analyzer and management tools, such as Algosec, Skybox, Panorama, and CPSM.
  3. Familiarity with cloud technology providers, including Azure and AWS.
  4. Certifications or official training on the above would be an added advantage.
  5. Good knowledge of automation/AI/Machine Learning to simplify operations would be an added advantage.
  6. Experience in leveraging third-party platforms, such as ServiceNow, for automation/orchestration would be essential.
  7. Excellent team player with great leadership, interpersonal, and influential skills.
  8. Strong communication and presentation skills.
