About the Department
The Technology and Operations division is composed of five specialized teams, each possessing unique expertise: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support services. This collaborative environment is designed to leverage technology in enhancing both physical and digital banking services and operations, including the development and standardization of technology systems and banking operations across various branches.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of loan disbursement, repayment, rollover, and rate fixing activities in accordance with established protocols, policies, and quality standards.
- Monitor liquidity requirements and manage fund flow effectively.
- Gain insights into the loan cycle across various products and implement continuous improvements in daily loan administration.
- Prepare and distribute fees, interest, or principal payments, acting as the paying bank for lenders in Syndicated Agency loans.
- Lead and mentor the team to ensure high-quality customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Guide team members in achieving departmental objectives and fulfilling their responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and guidelines set forth by the Bank, HKMA, MAS, and other relevant authorities.
- Report any exceptional or suspicious transactions to the section head and other pertinent parties for appropriate action.
- Support new initiatives and perform coordination roles as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Banking & Finance, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in corporate or commercial banking, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Practical experience in loan operations, including handling syndicated and bilateral loans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications; knowledge of VBA is an advantage.
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
