Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join our team in Wealth Management and Investment Products. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and enhancement of business applications, working closely with users, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in business applications development and enhancement, driving technical direction and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Perform feasibility studies, functional designs, technical designs, and produce specifications that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with users, vendors, and cross-functional teams to analyze system requirements, estimate effort, design, develop, implement, and test systems.
  • Manage offshore development teams, providing schedule oversight and monitoring progress.
  • Communicate project progress and issues with project teams, identifying dependencies and potential risks, and taking measures to resolve issues and mitigate risk.
  • Troubleshoot problems and propose recommendations to resolve issues, collaborating with developers and external parties as needed.
  • Provide emergency support and perform system maintenance during non-office hours.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the banking industry.
  • Knowledge of Wealth Management and Investment Products is preferred.
  • Solid experience in system analysis, application/architecture design, system development, and implementation across multiple platforms.
  • Proficiency in Java, C#, SQL, Oracle DB, IBM MQ or IBM Mainframe MVS, COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM development.
  • Experience in system integration with legacy mainframe systems is an advantage.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of organization and staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken Chinese and English, knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
