Position Overview

The Legal Manager at Konew FinTech Corporation Limited will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing legal strategies to support the organization’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement legal actions as directed by the Department Head, including gathering necessary information and coordinating with external legal representatives to ensure timely progress.
  • Review and analyze all legal documents, such as letters before action, writs of summons, statutory demands, bankruptcy petitions, and commercial contracts.
  • Assist the Department Head in managing legal risks and providing expert legal advice to the organization.
  • Conduct thorough searches related to land, companies, winding up, and bankruptcy.
  • Engage in legal research and obtain insights from court rulings to enhance the department's legal knowledge through sharing sessions.
  • Advise the Department Head or senior management on any changes in laws or regulations affecting money lending practices.
  • Oversee endorsement processes when required.
  • Facilitate official training sessions and support company events and activities.
  • Participate in departmental meetings to ensure effective communication across the department and with senior management, aligning with the company’s vision and strategy.
  • Contribute to functional committees to meet targets established by senior management in collaboration with team members.
  • Assist with any special projects and tasks assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Law or equivalent qualifications at HKQF level 5.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the legal field, including litigation and/or conveyancing.
  • Current knowledge of trends and developments in the relevant industry.
  • Ability to independently manage a diverse range of legal issues.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and responsible.
  • Commitment to confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Post-qualification experience is a plus.
