About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our team at Swiss Re. As a trusted advisor, you will provide timely and high-quality legal advice to support our business operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic legal advice to the business on various matters, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts and agreements.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with new business initiatives and projects.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and analyze their impact on Swiss Re.
  • Assist with regulatory issues in Hong Kong, including inspections and onsite reviews.
  • Enhance corporate governance and ensure compliance with Group guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Manage legal advice related to general corporate matters, including corporate structure, regulatory, and licensing matters.
  • Participate in Group and regional projects and other relevant tasks.

About the Team

You will work with a multi-jurisdictional and diverse team of legal and compliance professionals operating in a global organization and culturally diverse environment.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel with a strong background in financial institutions or law firms. You should have a solid understanding of Hong Kong and Taiwan laws and regulations relevant to Swiss Re, as well as good communication and cross-cultural skills.
