Teaching Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Specialist to join our team at the City University of Hong Kong. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting computational thinking education to parents and will be responsible for conducting parent education workshops, implementing programme plans, and achieving project objectives in planned timeframes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver parent education workshops to promote computational thinking education;
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth implementation and quality of parent education workshops and delivery of target outcomes;
- Assist in the development of educational modules and related design and production work;
- Supervise a team of part-time student helpers who serve as teaching assistants for supporting workshop delivery and carry out related training and performance evaluation;
- Assist in the organisation of project-related publicity and outreach activities;
- Work closely with colleagues to achieve project objectives and contribute to the development of the university's educational programmes.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Master's or Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years' relevant post-qualification working experience preferably in education and related fields. You will also need to have excellent presentation skills, a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (with high proficiency in Cantonese), and the ability to work independently and in a team.
Candidates are expected to be self-motivated, patient, and mature with good communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Experience in IT education and teaching would be an advantage.
