The Role:

As a Senior Analyst, Strategy, you will support the Vice President and other team members in formulating strategic initiatives, executing regional plans, and managing relationships with Moody's affiliates in Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of Moody's Ratings' APAC strategy
  • Evaluate growth opportunities for Moody's Ratings' operations in APAC, including new markets and partners
  • Monitor regional markets, analyze internal and external data, and identify opportunities to improve market relevance and positioning
  • Support updates and meetings with global and regional senior management, preparing business strategy presentations, summaries, and materials
  • Assist in affiliate relationship management, governance, and collaboration opportunities, and interactions between Moody's group companies and affiliates
  • Work with internal stakeholders to advance business initiatives and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in a business analysis/strategy role within a financial services, consulting institution, or research, data, and analytics provider
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree required, with a specialization in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics. Master's degree would be a plus
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of global and regional capital/credit markets, strong analytical skills, and ability to think strategically
  • Prior experience in project or business management, conducting in-depth market or industry research, analyzing business models, and performing financial modeling and valuation
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; other functional skills involving Bloomberg, data visualization would be a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including business writing
  • Demonstrates resourcefulness, creativity, strong attention to organization and detail, commitment to achieve positive business outcomes, ability to multi-task and work independently, a self-starter attitude, and respect for co-workers
  • Fluency in English required. Other Asian languages an additional advantage
