We are now inviting suitable candidates to maintain a service pool of student tutors who can provide tutorial services and facilitate various learning needs for elite athletes at the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI). Tutorial services are offered on a part-time and on-demand basis to meet the specific requirements of athletes.

The Job

As an Academic Support Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting student-athletes with their academic tasks, including homework, projects, test preparation, research, and other related activities. You will also provide flexible tutorial timetables that align with the training and competition schedules of athletes in HKSI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist student-athletes with academic tasks, such as homework, projects, and test preparation;
  • Provide flexible tutorial timetables that match with athletes' training and competition schedules;
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be currently registered as a Year 2 or above University Student or have graduated within two years from a local tertiary institution;
  • Be studying in a related discipline for subject tutoring;
  • Achieve a GPA of 3.0 or above;
  • Be fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese;
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills;
  • Hold awareness/knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong (an added advantage).
