ROLE SUMMARY

As an Event Coordinator at Marriott International, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of events and conferences. This includes collaborating with staff to ensure a cohesive team effort, inspecting and maintaining the banquet area, and communicating effectively with guests and other employees to meet their needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure staff is working together as a team.
  • Inspect and maintain the banquet area for cleanliness and proper setup.
  • Communicate with guests and other employees to ensure their needs are met.
  • Assist management in hiring, training, and evaluating employees.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Event Coordinator will also be responsible for setting up banquet areas, inspecting and maintaining table set-ups, and resolving any problems that may arise. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.
